About Jane Goff

  •  I was born near Garstang in Lancashire many moons ago but the craft bug didn't bite me yet as I moved to London in the 80-90s. It wasn't at all glamourous because I lived in a squat but I enjoyed singing with an independent punk band "beef" and they were quite successful as a bout of recording and touring doing gigs ensued which gave me the chance to have the best time of my life as young woman in this vibrant city.

  •  After my experience in the South-East, I spent time one summer working on a boat in Turkey leading me to try various jobs before discovering my love of crafting. I think I'm one of life's drifters; I end up in these situations but am never quite sure how I got there: the edges are always blurred...

  •  Fast forward a few years and a chance to work in the background for a QVC presenter (Dawn Bibby) 10 years ago, just seemed to be the right choice for me and I started prepping the shows and doing demos at Topaz Crafts near Accrington.

I still work freelance getting involved with various projects and helping prepping for Dawn Bibby for Create&Craft/Ideal World and workshops at Topaz Crafts.

Now I find myself living in West Kirby as life brought me close to the sea with my lovely daughter Caity and cat Miss Brahms.

Quick List of 'likes' :

  • My passions are vintage china and peonies (especially when bought for me)
  • Neal's Yard peanut butter
  • anything vintagey and shabby chic
  • Jane's motto is 'if it moves distress it'

  1. Hi Jane,

Hope you're good, bit of a random one - but I am looking for the composer of the Dastardly and Muttley track 'Stop The Pigeon' that wasn't you by any chance was it? If it was, would you mind emailing me about at sarahlavis@objectiveproductions.com
